The Spring Term runs 18 weeks:

Group Classes run either 9 or 18 weeks      Group Classes begin Saturday 1/31/09 and have two sessions          Session A: runs 1/31/09 -4/3/09  Session B: runs 4/4/09 - 6/13/09


Weekly individual lessons are available for ages 4 to adults. An instrument is required. All lessons are scheduled for a specific day and time, Monday through Friday from 9am to 9pm, Saturday 9 am to 5 pm. Requests for a particular teacher, day or time will be honored whenever possible. Help in choosing the best teacher for the student is facilitated by Brian Pearson, Program Director. Materials are purchased by the student independently or from the instructor directly. Weekly group classes are available for toddlers to adults. Placement in classes is based on age and previous training. If a class does not reach minimum enrollment, it will be canceled and all tuition and fees refunded. Class size will be limited to enhance the learning experience. If materials are required, the students will be notified if they need to purchase independently or from the teacher. See below for class listings.


Pre-School Group Classes

Pre-Twinkle Violin- Teaches your eager little string player about how to hold, take care of and identify the parts of a violin through fun games and activities. Parents required to stay.

Combo Camp (Ages 3-5) Session B Only - A very popular class with the little ones and their parents! 1/2 hour of music, 1/2 hour of Creative Dramatics & Movement, 15 min. snack break and 30 min. for Art.  Caregivers are invited to join for the final 15 min.

Paint & Putty (Ages: 3 - 5) - Explore and create through touch. Introduces your child to a variety of media such as clay, paint, chalk and more.

Music

Try It Out! (Ages 5-7) - Budding musicians sample keyboard, recorder, violin, cello, voice, guitar, percussion! A great way to find out what your little one might be interested in studying. Instruments provided.

Acting

Acting 101 (Ages 9-13) - Students explore the acting process in this fun and spontaneous class offering improvisation, scene work, creative theater games, character development and original scene development.

On Camera Acting (Ages 10-15) - See yourself on TV! Students learn the basics of acting from a veteran, then test their skills in front of the camera.

Acting 102(Ages 12 and up) - Gain valuable experience in dealing with real-life circumstances by working on scenes from plays and films. Learn to identify with the character and to make creative choices that bring a character to life.  Must take Acting 101 or on Camera Acting first or get permission from Instructor.

Ensembles

Students work intensely together in a small group with inspiring music. Faculty serve as
coaches, teaching basic skills of how to stay together with a group, how to adjust for
mistakes without stopping, listening for cues, and having a fun time! There will be at least
one performance at the end of the semester.

Elite String Orchestra

Auditions and registration will be held at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montgomeryville, PA. the Saturday, September 13th starting at 10am.  Scheduled for rehearsals will be held at the church. Please call 215 340-7979 for details.
